Manchester Barbers Mastery is the training academy of Decent Cut, the award-winning barbershop in Manchester Arndale. We teach the way we cut: properly, patiently and for every hair type.
Our story
Decent Cut has been cutting hair in the heart of Manchester for 15 years. As the shop grew, so did the number of people asking to learn from our barbers, and too few places in the city offered practical, hands-on training.
So we built the academy right next to the shop floor. Students learn from working barbers, practise on live models and see the day-to-day reality of a busy, award-winning barbershop.
Today we are a registered CPD provider, and some of our graduates now cut at Decent Cut itself.

How we teach
Small classes, real clients
A maximum of 12 students per class means your tutor actually sees your work. You practise on live models from early on, in a real barbershop setting, not a classroom.
Step by step
Structured modules build your skills from the basics to advanced work, at a pace you can keep up with.
Support after
Career guidance and mentoring carry on after you finish, from barbers who have built careers themselves.

certificates
As a registered CPD provider, our courses meet independent standards for curriculum, assessment and tutor qualifications. Every student who completes a course receives a CPD certificate to show employers and clients.
