A Decent Cut barber talks you through a full cut and fade, start to finish.

Meet the team

Look around the academy and the shop floor, and meet the tutors you would learn with.

Pick up the clippers

Try the basics yourself with a tutor guiding your hands. No pressure, no judgement.

Ask anything

Courses, careers, what barbers earn, start dates and paying in instalments. We will give you straight answers.

Is it really free?

Yes. The intro evening costs nothing and you will not be asked for payment details. There is no obligation to book a course afterwards.

Do I need any experience?

None at all. Most people who come have never held a pair of clippers.

What should I bring?

Just yourself. We provide the tools, capes and training heads. Wear something comfortable.

Can I bring a friend?

Yes, but they need to book their own place so we keep the group to 12.

What happens after?

If you enjoyed it, we will help you pick the right course. Every course can be paid in instalments, and our prices are lower than most Manchester academies.

I can no longer come. What do I do?

Reply to your confirmation email or call us, so we can offer your place to someone else.
